Job Description
AWS WWRO (World Wide Revenue Ops) team is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to play a key role in building their industry leading Customer Information Analytics Platform. Are you passionate about Big Data, complex analytics and highly scalable data platforms? Do you enjoy building end to end Analytics solutions to help drive business decisions? And if you have experience in building and maintaining highly scalable data warehouses and data pipelines with high transaction volumes then we need you!!!
As a BIE you will assume a key responsibility to impact customer experience. You will partner and work closely with data engineers, product managers, business analysts and key customer representatives to understand business needs and create visualizations that would trigger data-driven decisions. Responsibilities

Develop new and innovative analyses to inform Amazon AWS business strategy which will determine the roadmap for key strategic initiatives.

Selectively analyze business information, and spot trends and correlations to develop insights that can measurably improve product and strategy decisions across the team and with partner teams.

Establish and manage new, scalable, efficient, automated processes for tracking and reporting on the progress of initiatives and uncovering areas of opportunity.

Formulate and present clear communications for recommended actions.

Collaborate with product, technical, and operational leaders to gather data and metrics requirements.

Manage and execute projects from start to finish including project management, data harvesting and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem-solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.

Scope, build, and own technical data warehouse processes to help the business scale.

Standardize data and report consumption across all customer groups.

Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve operational and quality metrics.

Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science/Statistics/Engineering
-
3+ years of relevant experience in one of the following areas: Data engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics.

2+ years of experience working in SAS or R or Python
-
Experience with SQL
-
Experience with Business Intelligence technologies like Tableau, OBIEE, etc.

Experience defining and driving a BI roadmap
Bonus Points

Master’s degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, or an equivalent quantitative field

5+ years of experience working as a BIE in a business environment
-
Experience using R, Python, etc.

Experience with S3, Redshift, EMR, and RDS
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
